It’s that time again. The Cambodian-Americans for Rural Education (CARE) Foundation cordially invites you to attend its Second Annual Gala/Fundraising Dinner beginning at 6pm on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at La Lune Imperial Restaurant (1438 Atlantic Ave, Long Beach, CA 90813). Please come join us to celebrate our very first “Library Project” and get an update on our work.
As many of you have known, the funds we raised from last year’s gala enabled CARE to build and open our first library in rural Cambodia on December 3rd, 2016. The Cheou Meng Library at Trapaeng Kroch Elementary School in Prahaek Village, Takeo province is the first of its kind in not only the village but in the greater commune. We are very proud to see this project come to fruition, and hope to continue our work throughout Cambodia.
Please join us at our Second Annual Gala Dinner/Fundraiser. In addition to dinner, there will be speeches by local officials, an update on CARE’s current activities and future plans, a silent auction, and performances by local artists.
